As we pray for revival, part of God's answer will be to give artists prophetic ideas that will reshape our culture and help fuel a hunger for Him. Has God called you to be one of these artists?

II Chronicles 16:9 holds a unique challenge for artists:

"The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong in behalf of those whose hearts are perfect towards Him..."

God is looking for people to whom He can reveal images and sounds that will capture people's imagination. Does your art --

• bring out the best in people, or simply reinforce the shallow values of the world around us?
• serve as salt and light?
• release captives, open blind eyes, bind up the broken-hearted, and proclaim good news to the poor?

God may use your work itself to accomplish kingdom objectives -- or He may use your art to position you so you can minister to others.

Your influence will probably start small, and it's up to God to decide how large it will become. But it's up to you to decide how much of the kingdom you will bring into the circle of influence God has given you.

As you surrender to God, He will give ideas that will enhance your work. He will show you how to position yourself for greater influence. And He will show you the ministry opportunities your work has created.
