Three Audio Files -- Stir Up the Gifts Of The Spirit In Your Own Life!


God is using ordinary Christians in extraordinary ways when we allow Him to train us in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The MP3 files below are stories of things Stan has seen God do, illustrating principles that will help you move in the gifts in your own sphere of responsibility.

Every two weeks, Stan will remove the first file in the list and will add another at the bottom. The principles in each track are listed along with the links to the MP3 files.

Join a church.  It doesn’t matter whether it is big or small, or where it meets.  The important thing is to be a functioning part of the body of Christ. 


Stay accountable in a small group.  This will help you keep your heart clear as God uses you. 

Work with others whenever you can.  Many try to pattern themselves after the Elijah, the solitary prophet.  A better role model is Elisha, the team-player who obtained the double portion.


Teamwork Builds Faith

    Rejoice when God uses someone else on your team in a great way.  Don’t be jealous; your turn will come. 


    Minimize individual personalities as your team works together.  That way, one person’s testimony belongs to the whole team, and everyone’s faith will grow.


    Appreciate ministries that are unlike your own.  They can do things you can’t; you can fill a niche they can’t.  Your strategies differ, but you have the same Lord. 


    Don’t try to take over someone else’s ministry; trust God to cause you to bear fruit in your own.

Understand that visible things were made by the invisible God.  (Heb 11:3)  This means the invisible God will work creatively to change the visible world where we live. 


Fill your life with the word of God.  Faith comes by hearing God’s word. (Romans 10:17) 


Use faith to please God.  It’s not just about getting God to do what we want; it’s about doing what He wants. 


Meditate on God’s word.  Picture yourself walking with Jesus as He worked miracles in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
