Sometimes people we haven't met hear about us and want to invite us to minister at their churches. Sometimes we are the unknown members of a team. So I've listed a few things below that tell what we do, and what facilitates the best flow of the Holy Spirit as we minister.
We have a diverse gift-mix, but a few core values tie it all together. (1) The message of the cross is and must be central in everything we do. (2) We believe a clear declaration of God's word will bring change in the earth -- in individual lives, in families, in communities, and in nations. (3) And in everything, we think of ourselves as servants who work in teamwork with all blood-washed Christians and churches.
So this list of what we do (including a few things we don't usually do) will help you see if we fit in what God has given you to do.

Make Room For More Of God
1) Teaching
Stan has taught the word for more than twenty years in Bible schools and in churches where he served as pastor.
JoAnn doesn't teach, but she sometimes shares an exhortation when she ministers with Stan.
The word flows with more anointing when the church has prayed and asked God to speak to them.
Stan's teachings generally focus on equipping the whole church for ministry.
2) Prophetic Song
Stan has moved in prophetic song for more than thirty years. Sometimes he is asked to lead worship; he usually makes a lot of room for spontaneous song.
JoAnn worships in the dance as part of the congregation.
Stan teaches workshops to help churches get into a greater flow of prophetic song, and has produced printed resources as well as a CD of prophecies and prayers in song.
Prophetic song often is useful as a backdrop for prayer meetings, helping the church maintain a strong atmosphere of God's presence.
3) Prophecy
Stan and JoAnn flow together in personal prophecy and word of knowledge. They minister in a low-key and relational style.
Stan and JoAnn like to have the pastor orchestrate the personal ministry, and be on hand to judge the words they are giving.
Sometimes God has used Stan and JoAnn to open churches to the gifts of the Spirit. Stan has prepared teaching materials to help facilitate this. More about prophecy and healing on the Miracle Lifestyle page.
4) Healing
Stan and JoAnn minister healing together. They participated for a few months in the Santa Maria Valley Healing Rooms.
Stan and JoAnn like to minimize their importance in the release of healing, focusing instead on the grace and love of God. "We try to get people to see Jesus -- it is His presence that brings healing."
5) Writing
Stan has written a variety of teaching materials about prophetic song and about the gifts of the Spirit. Visit the Resources page to see more.
JoAnn has produced two books for children -- to see more, visit www.TheAlphabuddies.com.
Stan and JoAnn make their materials available on a book table as they travel.
6) Culture-Shapers
Stan has begun preparing materials to equip Christian artists, businesspeople, and others make an impact on today's culture. For more info, visit the Creativity Workshops page.
Stan's workshops call for times of waiting on God, being still in an atmosphere of His presence, and listening for inspiration.
7) Prayer Ministry
Stan and JoAnn participated in Lou Engel's 50-day prayer meeting before the national elections in the US in 2004. Stan is often asked to provide background worship music in prayer meetings.
Stan and JoAnn believe regional and city-wide prayer are a key to revival, and that a grass-roots revival is necessary to bring real transformation as God's kingdom invades the earth.
When booking meetings with Stan and JoAnn, it is helpful if you can choose one of the three main areas in which they minister:
The Miracle Lifestyle -- for the release of the gifts of the Holy Spirit in your church, and in the lives of individuals.
Prophetic Song -- to cultivate a richer sense of God's presence in your church.
Creativity Workshops -- to sow vision for culture-shaping into your church.
Finally, our goal is to serve. If the items listed above fit into the vision God has given you, we are available. And we (almost) always enjoy stretching, and doing something we haven't done before. Christ-in-us is and will always be our only qualification.
Blessings,
Stan & JoAnn Smith
