It Isn't Discipleship.
Instead, Let Jesus Apprentice You.
The Greek word translated disciple could just as easily be translated apprentice. But when I compare the two words with Jesus' lifestyle in the four gospels, I believe apprenticeship is what He's called us to. What's the difference? Discipleship is about discipline, and it can work on a distance-learning basis. Apprenticeship is about a master and pupil working together with hands-on training. This is the relationship Jesus seeks with His followers.
The articles and testimonies are designed to nudge you closer to Jesus, so He can apprentice you. It's a devotional -- devote your life to Jesus and let Him do what He wants with you. Who knows what grace He'll pour into the earth through you as you learn to hear from Him?
